Accidental montage from the animation stills~

Another life drawing from the same sitting. Used various methods to map out the forms, including S curves. Didn’t let myself erase anything, and just kept working up and drawing over lines which were revised.

Drawing done quickly at the end of the day. Only got midway through the sketch so I decided to take it into photoshop and continue~

Started working on a brief in which I hope to move towards conceptual art and creature design. Working on understanding and learning underlying anatomy, structure and form. Matched with the reasoning behind evolution and why certain animals have evolved as they have.

So here, a constructed bird claw, mapped out in the 3D forms of the skeletal structure, then built upon following the bracelet wrapping contors.

Trying the approach of no detail in the shadows, though this image is practically all shadow anyhow!

Another one. Front on views im confident with measurements. I just need to gradually learn 3/4 views! Getting likeness however

Meh, another attempt. Im not sure what throws me when doing self portraits. Possibly the perspective mirrors give, or the constantly changing focus. That and the variant from one eye to another gives

I started with the aim of doing an accurate study of tones within the rock structures, however, as I expanded from the middle, I rather enjoyed the organic shape it had become. Again, this is nearly its true size. Now to consider whether to continue it, or instead start afresh.
